I Can Fly

50 Experiences for 500 Kids // Outing with Blangah Rise Primary School // 06 Nov 15 // "I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky". And on this day, the kids from Blangah Rise Primary School realised their dream of flying. All thanks to iFly Singapore for sponsoring the flights and giving them the experience of a lifetime.

Esther (center), our Craft Specialist imparted her skills of making pop-up cards for any occasion to the kids. Since Christmas was barely a month away, they worked on a Christmas card for that special someone.

With just basic materials but lots of colours, the kids transformed the plain papers into beautiful works of art with their creativity.

To make these lucky kids (who have been selected for this outing) feel even luckier, we had a lucky draw with 10 prizes given out. Prizes included the much sought-after Singa Lions, stationery surprise bag and tote bags from Tee-saurus.

The winners were overwhelmed by their sheer luck! Even Mr Mohan, their teacher was equally excited!

Before the kids could actually "fly", they have to learn the techniques of flying so that they can easily float in the air.

"Hands out! Straighten your legs! Heads up!"
called out the instructor. And the kids did just that, learning to fly and given the Professional Safety Training.

Into the wind tunnel they went! The first group of 16 students excitedly entered the chamber awaiting their first flight. Each were given 2 flights of 45 seconds.

"Up up and away! The first brave soul took the plunge. What an experience! It was not as difficult as it seemed as they were all guided by a professional.

And when it all came to an end, the kids were all still so "high", chattering non-stop on their flying adventure.

An ice-cream treat for all of them, for being so brave to attempt this flying experience. No one freaked out.

It was a day they will never forget...

And they said, "We believe we can fly, we believed we almost touched the sky"

And they all wanted to return again!
